THE STORY OF YOUR LIFE ~ THROUGH THE LENS OF PHOTOJOURNALISM

A JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH THE FIRST STEP

~ Lao Tzu

lack & white film is a provocative medium. It invokes a sense of a surreal dream. Thought provoking and haunting, it lends a voyeuristic dream-like intimacy not usually found in other mediums or formats. This style of images actually invite something beyond reality into the connection of human emotions universally experienced across all cultures, races, sexes and ages.

I think it creates a new vision of a classic landscape of humanity that suddenly becomes surrealistic and triggers the viewers imagination to engage their own perception of the subjects story. Who are they. What were they thinking, feeling, experiencing. Who & how did they love. How did they experience joy, loss tragedy & triumph.

Triggering the unconscious part of the brain gives this surreal duality the heart of our photographic journey. This is where the opposite nature in the forms of black & white confronts the viewer with fact and fiction, reality and dream.

"I LOVE EXPERIENCING MYSELF AS B&W ART"

Some Clients opt for the photojournalistic experience, to their life's story in segments over years. This is achieved on location and in studio & is usually shot in visceral Black & White shooting formats. It is a truly breathtaking experience to see the journal of a persons story unfold in a photojournalistic documentary of their life.
